Knoxville Habitat for Humanity’s 9th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament Hits Target by Raising Over $100,000 to Date
Knoxville, TN – In an impressive display of community spirit and generosity, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce that its annual Sporting Clays Tournament has succeeded in raising over $100,000 in donations to date. The event, presented by FirstBank, is a cornerstone of fundraising efforts for the organization’s Habitat for Heroes program, which aids veterans and their families in building and owning affordable housing.
The Sporting Clays Tournament, held at Iron Mountain Sporting Clays, has become a much-anticipated fixture in the Knoxville area, drawing enthusiasts and supporters from across the region. Participants took to the fields, where their marksmanship had a dual purpose: enjoying the sport and contributing to a vital cause.
“[The event’s success] is a true reflection of our community’s commitment to giving back and supporting those who have served our country,” said Anna Engelstad, Interim CEO/Chief Operating Officer of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. “We are beyond grateful for the support and want to extend a heartfelt thank you to FirstBank, our presenting sponsor, and all the participants, volunteers, and sponsors who have helped us reach this incredible milestone.”
The funds raised through the tournament will go directly to the Habitat for Heroes program, furthering Knoxville Habitat for Humanity’s mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
“FirstBank is honored to support Knoxville Habitat for Humanity and the Habitat for Heroes program,” said Chris Parrott, Senior Vice President/Regional Marketing Manager at FirstBank. “The impact this tournament has on the lives of veterans in our community is profound, and we are committed to continuing our support for this great cause.”
As Knoxville Habitat for Humanity looks to the future, the ongoing support from community events like the Sporting Clays Tournament is a critical component in ensuring the success of its programs.
