Save the date for Women Build 2020!

Reserve your volunteer date for this year’s Women Build and help Koresa build her home. Each volunteer is asked to raise or donate $250+ to participate ($50 minimum required). All funds will support the 2020 Women Build home. Plus, you’ll win pink tools to use on the jobsite with every $50 raised up to $250! 

Only one volunteer spot may be reserved per person. You will be notified in March to complete your registration. You must complete registration when notified to participate. Spots will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. 

Build Days

Blitz Day

Involves starting with a floor, building the exterior walls. Volunteers will build and set gables.

Trusses and Roof Decking

Involves setting trusses and decking the roof. The house will be “in the dry” at the end of the day.

  • Volunteers need to be comfortable with heights and will stay until work is finished!
  • Roofing volunteers must be 18 years old.


Interior Walls and Roofing

Consists of building, setting and connecting walls or shingling roof.

  • Volunteers selecting roof work need to be comfortable with heights.
  • Roofing volunteers must be 18 years old.


Vinyl Siding

This task consists of installation of siding, soffit and trim metal along roofline.

  • Volunteers need to be comfortable on ladders.
  • Volunteers working on ladder or with power tools must be 18 years old to work on a ladder or with power tools.

Interior Painting

Work consists of applying two coats of paint on all walls.

Trim and Cabinets

Measuring, cutting, installing baseboards, door trim, kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

  • Volunteers will be designated to operate power tools by Knoxville Habitat for Humanity staff.


Volunteers working with power tools must be 18 years old.
