SAVE THE DATE FOR #GIVINGTUESDAY
NOVEMBER 30, 2021
We set a big goal: Raise $30,000 in a single day to support our Critical Home Repair program. These seniors need YOUR help to make sure home is still home for years to come.
Our Critical Home Repair program helps low-income, elderly homeowners stay in their home longer. For these individuals, growing older can make the dream of homeownership more difficult. No one should ever have to leave a lifetime of memories behind because they can’t afford costly repairs—like a new roof or HVAC system. With your help, we can make sure these seniors are able to maintain their safety and independence by remaining in their homes.
By giving now or on Tuesday, November 30, you will also DOUBLE your impact! A special friend of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is generously matching all donations up to $15,000 to reach our $30,000 goal. And since #GivingTuesday relies on the limitless potential of social media, don’t forget to share, tag us, and use the hashtags #KnoxHabitat and #GivingTuesday.
Each year on #GivingTuesday, nonprofit organizations rally their supporters for a day of maximum impact. Following the retail events of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday provides an opportunity for people in our community and around the world to support what matters most to them and share that support with their social media networks.
From all of us at Knoxville Habitat for Humanity, thank you for your support—on #GivingTuesday and every single day you help enable our mission.
This project began in 2019 with funding through a grant awarded by the Davidson County Chancery Court, Part III from the SeniorTrust/ElderTrust settlement (Case No. 11-1548-III) and through a contract administered by the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability.
