Knoxville Habitat for Humanity
Updated: April 8, 2020
As each day brings more and more updates on the spread and impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we continue to keep you informed about the actions we are taking in response to the situation. The safety and well-being of Habitat employees, families, Covenant Partners, sponsors, volunteers and ReStore customers are our top priority concerning this pandemic. We have a protocol in place to ensure continuity in our operations and continued service to our ministry and mission.
As we have recently stated, we want to assure you that Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is closely monitoring the developments. We are following updates and guidance from Habitat for Humanity International, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Knox County Health Department. As of 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity’s office location and ReStore are temporarily closed. Please also note that our ReStore is not able to accept donations at our store until it resumes normal operating hours.
During this time, administrative staff will continue to work from home office locations during normal business hours (9:00-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday). Visit knoxvillehabitat.com/staff for contact information.
We appreciate the commitment, support and patience of all Covenant Partners and volunteers that are on standby as we continue to evaluate the situation, adjust build schedules and update protocols as needed.
Housing problems persist, and we will not stop our efforts to advocate for those who are in need of a safe and affordable place to call home. We appreciate your partnership and commitment to our ministry, our beloved community and the families we serve. Please contact us with any questions and continue to keep the families in our program in your prayers as they also make adjustments during this time.
