About the Class Instructors:
Carole Matthews found her passion for movement early in life, in Scotland where she was born and raised. Carole taught several forms of dance for over 15 years, after acquiring certificates from the British Association of Teachers of Dance. She found Pilates 18 years ago. She is an enthusiastic daily practitioner and a certified instructor in the method. Carole, along with Dasha, created and teaches THRIVE, as well as Pilates at THRIVE Functional Fitness.
Dasha trained in ballet from age 3 and performed at top dance companies for most of her teenage years. She was also a devoted and gifted rhythmic gymnast for over 15 years and competed professionally. Dasha, RYT 500 will use her passion and knowledge to introduce you to the transformative power of music and movement, to fuel your energy, your spirit and ultimately help you find that mind-body connection.
About Women Build:
Across our community, women and children are the most impacted by substandard living conditions. The Knoxville Habitat Women Build is your opportunity to join other women in spotlighting the housing challenges local women face. At the same time, you’ll help to build a safe, permanent home with a special mother and her family. Learn more at knoxvillewomenbuild.com.
