Women Build Wellness Series: Tern Club Cocktail Party

Skilled bartenders from Knoxville’s Tern Club will teach you how to make delicious, tropical drinks from the comfort of your own home.
About Tern Club:
Started by Jocelyn Morin and Ryan Shanley in late 2019, Tern Club is Knoxville’s oasis for tropical cocktails. Escape from the ordinary, immerse yourself in a different time and place, and sip on vacation all year long.
What to expect:
The class will last for approximately one hour. Bartenders will provide instruction to make a daquiri, mojito and piña colada. Follow along and make as many or as few of the three cocktails as you’d like. Interact and ask questions. Have fun! Join in on the trivia, put on your Hawaiian shirt and break out the paper drink umbrellas.
How to prepare:
Purchase your tickets by making a donation. You will receive a confirmation email, which will include the cocktail recipes for the class. The day of the class, you will receive an email with the Zoom link for the event.
Tools:
- Shaker or mason jar with lid
- Jigger or a tablespoon, which is equal to .5 ounces
- Strainer
- Muddler or the back of a wooden spoon

Order your spirits and other cocktail party supplies for curbside carry-out at Bob’s Liquor & Wine, and they will donate 10% of sales to Knoxville Habitat for Humanity.
- White rum (Flor de Caña 4 extra dry recommended)
- Lime Juice (fresh is always best, but Tern Club’s preferred bottled brand is Santa Cruz Organic)
- Simple Syrup (equal parts hot water and sugar)
- Plain seltzer or club soda
- Coconut Milk
- Pineapple Juice
- Fresh Mint
- Whole Lime
- Nutmeg
- Ice
