Now is the time to celebrate hope, love, joy and peace.
One of our greatest joys in December is to celebrate the special Covenant Partners that bring hope and peace to local families by helping them build safe and affordable homes.
During this Advent season, we’re excited to feature Shining Lights we would normally celebrate at our annual Covenant Partner Holiday Breakfast. We invite you, our supporter, to join us as we honor the Covenant Partners and families who’ve joined together through our ministry over the past year.
It all begins tomorrow (Friday, December 4) with our friends at the Foundry on the Fair Site. Follow Knoxville Habitat for Humanity on Facebook to join our ongoing celebration.

Advent Week One: It Starts with Hope.
Each Covenant Partner we recognize is receiving a white candle that represents the Christ candle. The Christ candle is the fifth and final candle of the Advent season and represents the light that Jesus brought to the world when He was born.
This first week of Advent represents Hope, which reminds us of our mission in bringing God’s people together to build homes, communities and hope. Hope shines brightly when prayers are answered, strength is revealed and thankful Knoxville families celebrate their first Christmas in a safe and affordable home.
Join us tomorrow as President/CEO Kelle Shultz introduces our series, and look for more to come next week as we continue the celebration with Hope and Love.
Advent Week Two: Love Into Action
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity builds homes, communities and hope.
From the moments the first dollar is donated and the first nail is hammered, Habitat homes are built with love. As we celebrate God’s greatest gift of love through a newborn King, we also celebrate Covenant Partners that put God’s love into action through their dedication and generosity.
Follow us this week as we share these stories of love with you! Be sure to follow us on Facebook to join and follow our ongoing celebration.
Over the next week, we will celebrate the following Covenant Partners on our social media channels.

Advent Week Three: Spreading Joy for Generations
When you support Knoxville Habitat for Humanity, you witness the impact of helping a local family build and buy a safe and affordable home. At home dedications, joy shines radiantly on children’s and parents’ faces as they receive the keys to their new home.
But do you know how the joy you give continues to live on in the years that follow? Joy in the laughter and memories made around the kitchen table. Joy that strengthens children as they grow and thrive in a place where they can effectively study and safely play. Joy found in parents no longer having to pay costly rent for a cramped space that affects their health and their children’s future.
This Advent week highlights Joy the shepherds experienced as they received the good news that Christ was born and spread that joy with others (Luke 2: 8-20). As we celebrate this joyful season, we also celebrate the homes made possible by the Covenant Partners that spread their joy with hardworking families in our community.
Over the next week, we will celebrate the following Covenant Partners on our social media channels.

Advent Week Four: Blessed are the peacemakers…
Did you know that when you support families through Knoxville Habitat for Humanity, you are a peacemaker (Matthew 5:9)?
This Advent week highlights Peace that came with the arrival of a newborn King. As we celebrate homes made possible by Covenant Partners, we also recognize the peace that more families now experience this holiday season because of the safe and affordable homes you helped them build.
The Christmas story tells of how a weary world rejoices at the arrival of Jesus, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Through Jesus, we gained the ultimate example of how to live for peace and justice, and it’s by His example we seek to put God’s love into action, as it says in our mission, each and every day.
As we close our celebration of Shining Lights this week, a new homeowner lights the Christ candle and shares her gratitude from her living room. Every Covenant Partner has received this candle as a reminder of how their commitment to spreading Love, Hope, Joy and Peace fills new homes now and for generations to come.
To all of you, we wish you a Merry Christmas and blessings in the new year.
