Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian ministry that works with people of all faiths to “build homes, communities and hope” in Knox County. We build and sell affordable homes to hardworking families in need of housing. Knoxville Habitat for Humanity partners with families in Knox County. Working alongside volunteers, Knoxville Habitat homeowners put in 300 hours of sweat equity as they help build their own homes.

To qualify for homeownership through the Knoxville Habitat program, a family must:

  • Have a need for housing.
  • Have the ability to repay an affordable 30-year mortgage.*
  • Be willing to partner with the Habitat ministry by attending homeownership classes such as home maintenance and financial management and by working to build their homes and the homes of others.
